District Heights, MD

I have had psoriasis since 13. Strep throat triggered mine and my oldest daughter who has severe skin psoriasis since 13 after strep too. Mine progressed to PsA which attacks my annkle mostly but having what one Dr thought was costochondritis with T7 disc anrthrits. Anyone else have enthesitis complications with PsA other than ankles such as in sternum?

Hi Dee
I have enthesitis in many locations, it seems to be the more dominant issue for me unless a joint is flaring up, but I now believe my joint issues start in the entheses.
I was having tightness in my chest around my sternum, it was one of the last symptoms to develop prior to taking a biologic. My elbows and shoulders preceded the sternum. The tightness I was having on my sternum is now gone. It had not gotten painful enough before for me to try treating it specifically, I am just grateful that the biologic seems to have stopped the progression.

I have rib pain but my rheumatologist keeps saying it’s not related to PsA. I’m having a CT next week to look further.
