A dab of any gentle lotion or oil is fine to keep the inside of the ears moist so the scales don't fall out. Just don't apply too much or too deep. The key is to clean the ears more often, with a Q-tip or other tools you can buy online.

Hi Wendy. When it gets bad it my ears, I use an RX foam betamethasone valerate Commonly known as: Luxiq. It’s usually all I need for a few days. God Bless.
