Have you tried to get the drug company to offer it free or at a lower cost? Some companies offer a card to pay for your deductible or co pay if you have commercial insurance not Medicare Advantage. But some drug companies will work with you to offer a lower cost or even free. It depends on your income level. Good luck.

Hi Robert! There are ways to get biologicals for free and it works just like Anna suggested. Medicare has algorithms which basically means that you have to try one thing before trying something else before trying ointments for the therapy before trying biologicals and so on. The patient has to demonstrate that cheaper approaches have been ineffective as evidenced by a statement from your dermatologist. Sometimes you feel like you are playing a game of chess. But it's worthwhile. That's why we try prednisone methotrexate and ointments before we move on to something more sophisticated such as phototherapy and biologicals.
