But i not only phototherapy is helping. And i was thinking to take omega-3- fatty acid and vitamin d3 supplements. Whats your opinion on this? Does anyone know how long should i take this and is there any harmful effects of doing this?
I switched to krill oil a couple of months back and am starting to feel better. Then again I also switched tumeric dosage to 1,000 units a day. And trying to eat healthier. Lots of salmon, sweet potatoes and my wife is doing more veggies in the wok.
After a couple of painful days last month I stopped drinking and that's making a difference already. Thank gawd for medicinal weed, three of my docs said that is better then drinking. .
Hi Fran948.
Hi, I am very grateful for what has been an easier time of having Psoriasis. I am 82 yrs. old. Have had it & PsA since 2016. Although I was not diagnosed with Cancer at that time, but it was there. Shortly after, diagnosed, treated with radiation & has been in remission since 2017. Initially, I took methotrexate under the care of my rheumatologist but because of the Cancer possibilities chose to switch to hydroxychloroquine which I have taken since then. I chose a 5 times a week regime & continue with good support & really only a lower back weakness & ache after standing or walking. The Psoriasis evidence is minimal patches or different compositions which aren't much of a concern. I have the "unmentionable" involvement of the "down-there" .. what they call 'INVERTED Psoriasis in body folds,
& "bum crack". I have used a left-over fungus med. that gives some relief but is not recommended for constant use. Now the area is so itchy I don't know what to do.
Finally have an appt. with a dermatologist in a couple of days as I don't want to let it get any worse.
My forearms became so itchy 2 nights ago after I drank a banana/orange smoothie with Almond Milk & plain yoghurt. Maybe allergic to dairy. After using ice pack wrapped in a tea towel for 20" each arm, it really diminished. When I went to bed I put Apple Cider Vinegar on each arm & it calmed right down! Then I remembered, my mom used to put that on my sunburn when I was a child.
I hope my note can help others to find some relief!
Thank you to those who provide this website!
