Members responded to a question about being scammed or ripped off by sharing frustrations with the healthcare system, including insurance denials, costly medications, and doctors who seemed influenced by pharmaceutical companies. Several members highlighted a government website, openpaymentsdata.cms.gov, that tracks payments made from drug companies to physicians, sparking eye-opening conversations about potential conflicts of interest in treatment decisions. A recurring theme was the emotional weight of navigating a system that feels rigged, balanced with a community spirit of staying informed, cautious of unproven products, and supporting one another through the uncertainty.

Do you mean besides the 14 prescriptions that didn't work? and besides the entire medical community, as opposed to the health and wellness community? It's called medical because their job is to push medicines.

check out the website - openpaymentsdata.cms.gov. Just found the total payments paid to my Derm by the biologic I was given. (1/5 million) This is a website that shows all the payments made from a pharmaceutical company to the physician, dates etc. Very interesting. This is a government website disclosing payments from pharms..

Sorry to hear that MargieW, I feel for U. I think the deeper into this game We get, the more Opportunity for Odd things to happen. I try to live by only biting off as much as I can chew. For Ex.: Methotrexate- been debating taking this Prescription forever based on the varied reviews I've seen.🤷‍♂️

I don't like being negative but experienced severe itching and went to a Derm and said I needed a biopsy to determine if an outbreak of psoriasis after a long remission. another - diagnosed it as psoriasis. then recently a PA put me on a very expensive injection and I became light headed and dizzy; fell later and broke my wrist in 2 places when an emergency hospital said I had a sprain and possible fracture! And for what we pay for meds, shameful that so many docs do not impress me at all. When I find one that I connect to, I stay with them and even known to travel more than an hour for their expertise. This last psoriasis injection for me felt like a medical kickback to the pharmaceutical company. (used to work for a large Pharm and there are perks given for sure!) you would recognize the name too!
