Members shared mixed experiences regarding the connection between methotrexate and appetite changes, with several describing significant weight loss and decreased appetite due to GI upset, though one member on Tremfya reported no appetite changes. A recurring theme was serious concern about methotrexate's potential long-term side effects, particularly persistent low white blood cell counts and possible bone marrow damage that can continue years after stopping the medication, with multiple members emphasizing the importance of regular blood work monitoring. Many members expressed hesitation about starting biologics and immunosuppressants, encouraging others to carefully weigh the risks and benefits, stay actively involved in their care decisions, and be aware that even rare side effects can happen.

The bone marrow is actively involved in the production with and circulation of your white blood cells. Among other function. You can have a medical related problem related to that due to medications over time. Have to be careful of which ones

Bone marrow is a soft, spongy tissue found inside bones, primarily responsible for producing blood cells, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. It also stores fat and contains stem cells that can differentiate into various cell types.

Bone broth on the other hand is a good source of getting collagen.

I was monitored, they just let it go to the lowest level possible. Back then I relied on them to tell me of what to go on. I learned to be actively involved in my care since. Glad you are being watched close.
