I have been taking Zepbound...would not say experimenting. I can't speak specifically to any reduction in inflammation, aside from my waistline! Carrying less body weight around has had a profound impact on my ability to move and has likely reduced the wear and tear on my joints. I have had a very positive experience on the medication and feel everyone who wants it should have access to it, it has changed my life.

Yes, some people with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) have tried GLP-1 drugs for weight loss. One MyPsoriasisTeam member reported positive results with Ozempic, noting reduced swelling in their legs and knees.

These medications work differently than traditional PsA treatments - instead of suppressing the immune system, they may help reduce inflammation in the body. Research has shown that when people with PsA lose weight, they often experience less chronic inflammation. Weight loss itself can be beneficial for PsA symptoms - every pound lost reduces pressure on joints by four pounds. For example, losing 10 pounds can feel like taking 40 pounds of pressure off your knees. While weight loss isn't a cure for PsA, maintaining a healthy weight can improve the effectiveness of PsA treatments and may help reduce symptoms.

However, it's important to note that research on GLP-1 drugs specifically for PsA is still limited. Always consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new treatment approach.
