I just had a baby recently and have found it very difficult to balance my own health needs while caring for my baby as well. I used to end up stuck in bed for days while recovering from a flare but that's not an option now, and it seems like I'm stuck in a neverending flared state. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep a baby (soon to be toddler) entertained while avoiding a flareup?

Hi Cara first congrats on your baby. It's very hard to tend to your own needs while having a baby. Things to remember take naps when baby sleeps. Meditate often, this is always the way they so you in classes.
You can meditate while doing dishes, taking a bath, the jey for meditation is the relaxation. Turn on some music that relaxes you while sitting and cleaning.
Also the music helps the newborns. Just remember to use every little extra moment you have for self healing. It is hard at first but you will get used to being able to do this.
Remember to meditate often and no matter what anyone tells you, it is possible to meditate while doing certain chores. You don't have to sit in a yoga position to do it.
Lighting candles with soothing scents helps. I know money is very limited when a new baby comes so thrift stores are a good place to find candles cheap.
Good luck with everything, remember naping while baby naps is the most important self healing you can do.

Managing psoriasis as a new mom requires careful planning and self-care strategies. Here are some key ways to help manage your condition while caring for your baby:

• Keep a symptom diary to identify triggers and patterns
• Use stress management techniques like meditation when baby naps
• Stick strictly to your treatment plan
• Consider using a humidifier in baby's room to prevent dry air from triggering flares
• Take advantage of baby's nap times for quick self-care routines For daily activities and meal prep:

• Sit down while doing tasks like feeding baby or preparing meals to avoid strain
• Make large batches of healthy meals and freeze portions for flare days
• Keep lightweight, easy-to-hold tools and supplies within reach
• Create a comfortable feeding/changing station with everything you need nearby
• Consider meal prepping when you have help, so you'll have healthy options ready during flares

Remember to be gentle with yourself as you adjust to this new balance. If possible, accept help from family and friends during particularly difficult flares.
