Hi LunaBills~I too am flying across country soon……I worry about pain as well. Frol past flying I pick flights that are direct with no stops because it’s too long of a day with stops. I also arrange the times to fly around the best times of day for me when I am least tired (if that’s possible). I bring any and all documentation for seating arrangements etc about health condition and doctors give notes for any medication you may need to carry on board like the biologic injections. I am

What advice can help with flying when you experience fatigue and pain, plus enjoy the pool?

Managing Fatigue and Pain During Travel:

Schedule rest breaks during your trip and pace yourself. Allow yourself to rest when needed rather than pushing through activities. When fatigue hits, focus on getting the basics done and give yourself permission to put in less effort.

Consider keeping track of when you feel most tired to spot patterns. Note your activities, sleep quality, what you ate, and any flare-ups to help identify triggers during travel.

Pool Time Tips:

Great news about the pool! Here are some helpful tips from a MyPsoriasisTeam member and others:

After swimming, rinse off with warm water and reapply your ointment or moisturizer. Some members swear by applying coconut oil to their scalp and dry areas before swimming to protect their skin.

If you're swimming outdoors, remember sun protection is important even if sunshine helps your psoriasis. Wear sunscreen to avoid burns that could trigger a flare-up.

Consider wearing a swim cap if chlorine irritates your scalp. One member also found that lukewarm or cooler showers after swimming helped reduce inflammation and irritation compared to hot showers.

Enjoy your trip and listen to your body!
