Recently diagnosed but suspect I have had PA for several years - I feel not too bad when I go to bed but then pain starts in both shoulders and it can be agonising. Tried taking my anti-inflammatory before bed and in the middle of the night but no success at all. Also really hard to keep strength in my arms when exercise hurt.

anytime Marion.... if the pills are not doing it for U there are other options. Have U ever heard of fasting? I try to fast at least twice a year if not more just to reset & heal. I post about it from time to time on this support site. Check out my story page, I think there are some fasting links there.🙂

One other thought, I also now lay with layered small pillows. One slightly atop The other like in a sequence. Not too high up but that seems to support my shoulders more. Everyone's different but that's what I need to do. Just thought I'd offer something to try. I'd start with the heating pad though first and see how that goes. It's usually 20 minutes on 20 off.

Thank you so much for the information. I do have a doctor but as only just diagnosed they are trying some simple anti inflammatory drugs that aren’t really working. I’m reluctant to take anything too strong due to side affects. About to get some advice on safe exercise so hopefully I can exercise without worsening it. Interested in natural dietary side so will continue to investigate. Never drink enough water. Thanks again for ideas. This is a great community!

I have had the shoulder issue on both shoulders, so talk about not sleeping on one side or the other without discomfort. But I've taken a soft heating pad and lay down on it when I first lay down that seemed to loosen it up enough. You might want to try that. I could not get comfortable at first until I did.
