Hello Macntoch92, welcome. Good question, I have seen this question asked b4 but I heard a few responses. I do use Medical Cannabis for my Ps, PsA, Ra, shoulder pain ( burstis ),I could go on but won't, maybe later. But back to Cannabis, I watched while my best friend who has All things Painful, examples: Cancer, hasn't Walked in 10years, & a multitude of health issues. I have always felt guilty whenever complaining about my health issues, since her seemed so intense. But she Never complains, is always supporting me in all my complaints, she sends encouraging information about my problems etc. I can only hope that I can give her that kind of love ,as much as she has given me. With that being said, she has for the past 8years has turned to Medical Cannabis & has begged me for all those years to try it. She said it has Change her whole World ๐ŸŒŽ for the Better. So after 5year I decided to try , & only bcuz all the different meds & treatments did nothing for me, except, Skyrizi, help greatly with PS, MY skin was fully Cleared from plaques and anything else b4 the initial first started dose. IT WAS A MIRACLE! If you know what Hands mean, that is when sizing up the amount of coverage is of Ps on your body, [ one size of ones hand PALM, = 1 (one) Hand. I was covered with 22 Hands. That's Alot of skin. SO, with no improvement, I chose to try Cannabis. I Do Not Smoke ๐Ÿšญ ๐Ÿ˜ค but I incorporate all else that is offered. And you know, there is Sauves, oils, balms, ointments, edibles ( my go to for Pain Relief, Excellento). With edibles, they can come in all different Chocolates, Dark Chocolate is my favorite, and in indulge, if that's the right word, with Chewies, they work well. The right way to consume any Medical Cannabis would be, LOW & SLOW. start with the lowest strenght, cause they can go High in Strength ๐Ÿ’ช, so ,yes, u would have to start always low and WAIT. w
See ,with taking Edibles, one has to WAIT for it to take effect. That can take up to 1 to 4 hours, yup , takes a long minute to work but any one can work ard that. I am almost myself again but Happier, hehe. I give myself ample time to see how each dose I take medication the TIME to work. Once you feel, It is Not Working Yet? W.a.i.t !! 1 thing u do not want to do is, Take Another b4 you feel the 1st dose Effect, Patience is Golden. That is my Experience with Medical Cannabis, into my 4th year. I DO NOT SMOKE,but you can. I do a ratio of 1:1 , one equal amount of THC to one equal amount of CBG, not CBD, but CBG. EXCELLENT PAIN RELIEF adding the CBG ,not CBD. I had one of the Staff have me lend in that directions. CBD gave me a bad headache. Best luck. If u can and try, let me know what's Happening, brother or sister. Peace โœŒ๏ธ โ˜ฎ๏ธ ๐Ÿ•Š ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€

Does marijuana help or worsen psoriatic arthritis symptoms?

The effects of marijuana on psoriatic arthritis symptoms aren't fully clear, as there haven't been many controlled studies on this topic. However, some people with psoriatic arthritis have found cannabis products helpful for managing their symptoms.

Potential Benefits:

Some MyPsoriasisTeam members report positive experiences with cannabis products:
- Pain relief when symptoms increase
- Better sleep quality
- Reduced inflammation (cannabinoids like CBD have shown anti-inflammatory properties in some research)

Important Considerations:

Cannabis products aren't FDA-approved for treating psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis. Without regulation, you can't be entirely certain about ingredients or how your body will react.

Possible Side Effects:

- THC products may affect memory, coordination, and concentration with regular use
- CBD can cause fatigue, nausea, and irritability
- Cannabis products may interact with certain medications, especially blood thinners
- Some people are sensitive to other ingredients in these products

Mixed Results:

Experiences vary greatly among people with psoriatic arthritis. While some find relief, others report no effect on their symptoms.

Always talk with your doctor before trying cannabis products, as they can help you understand potential interactions with your current treatments and whether it's safe for your specific situation.
