did he tell you that it can take up to 2 weeks for the medication to start fully working? Some doctors forget to let you know this can happen. I really hope this starts working for you. I am on BP meds but i also take chlorthalidone (water pill) to help with the fluid retention
Hey ,yes she did tell me that. But the other medication caused my blood pressure to spike up to 212/116. Needless to say that was a ER visit.
Thank you ! My BP has been out of whack for the last 2 weeks. My doctor changed my medication ( the one I was prescribed was not good for me)). So, we are hoping that this new time release one starts to work soon. I have been taking it since last week so 6 days.
Hi LaQuitaGreen most definitely psoriatic arthritis flare can cause blood pressure to spike while you are in a flare, because if the flare is in the chest area (inflammation around your heart) it will most definitely spike. I was hospitalized with mysterious bp spike the did an echo and found that I had inflammation around my heart, which was during a flare up.
Are blood pressure problems related to psoriasis flares?
Blood pressure issues aren't typically a direct symptom of psoriasis flares. However, it's worth noting that some high blood pressure medications, particularly beta-blockers, are actually associated with triggering psoriasis flare-ups.
