Depending on what state you live in I would think most of them would still apply with if you're under 18 your parents should be able to cover you on their insurance. Hopefully they have some. Otherwise if you can't afford medication on your own you should reach out to the insurance or prescription provider and ask to have a waiver form signed that you should get that without cost. It's worth a try.

When my daughter was younger and still in college I covered her until she was 26 it says back then they are eligible. But she lived on her own so she had her own bills for this stuff. When she turned 19. I told her to reach out to the billing department and tell them that she only worked part-time and she couldn't afford a medical bill she got that was her portion to pay. They had her fill out a form that was a waiver and I would say if you reach out and ask for that they might be able to cover it without cost to you. Depends on who the provider is. Worth a try can't hurt to ask.

My daughter also needed dental work and they gave her a bill. She said I can't afford that it's hundreds of dollars. She talked to their office and they at least reduced the fee. It always pays to ask can't hurt to try.
