Can someone please help with the itch?!!

I have had plaque psoriasis for most of my life - 95%. I have dealt with this relatively successfully with prescribed medication but now I am menopausal and the itch on my scalp is real! With night sweats I am finding it impossible not to itch. Until 3 years ago I lived in UK and was prescribed Elocon scalp solution which worked a treat, however I now live in France and have tried to get it from the doctor here but it’s not available! Does anyone have any alternative solutions or ideas to stop… read more

At 64, I only got slammed with plaque psoriasis in late 2024, though there had been minor skin rashes dating back to 2015. But I had moderate to severe dandruff dating back to at least age 22. In case you didn't know, dandruff is related to eczema; and eczema shares similarities with psoriasis, such as immune dysfunction.

But in discovering that heavy supplementation with Omega-3 fatty acids cured my psoriasis, my dandruff also fully resolved. This is the first time in at least 42 years that I've been completely free of dandruff. I can tilt my head forward, and using a stiff nylon hairbrush to make repeated forward brush strokes, there's no longer any flakes of dandruff flying off my head.

I certainly didn't expect that the cure I found for my psoriasis would also cure my dandruff. But it has been liberating nonetheless...

@A MyPsoriasisTeam Member have you tried clobetasol? it comes in a foam, which I use when I have a flare on my scalp, and a solution. The solution caused irritation but switching to the foam made a big difference. Neither make your hair greasy.
It works well, and quickly, for me.
