MY ANSWER, to this excellent question; Never walk into a Doctors Office ,Without being prepared with ?'s , like 1, 2, 3, 4 things that are on Your list of Concerns. I walk in for my 3month checkup this way. Say hello, & let then my doctors know, that AFTER he goes over all his/her Findings from your lab work, Say, doctor, I would LIKE to be able to ASK YOU, a few Questions I need Answered, there is nothing that a Doctor Likes more ; than to answer a ?...Do not leave anything unsaid or unanswered. Show that you are Prepared, you are ready to Hear what their plan is , where You can Find this info, So You Can Understand, The Good, Bad & The Ugly.. What always bothered me, in my beginning was The Left Out Questions: Of Serious Consequences, , I need to Know, what MAY HAPPEN ; How i do proceed these Life changing Decision Making, not only for Yourself but for Family, love ones. Like it or not, those close to you Need to work with You. This thing started to me 56 years ago, with knowing nothing , Child really, Told NADA but again Look how many years ago...IF only I had More understanding what the The Ramifacates of LACK OF CONTROL over My HEALTH , of the Unknown ramifacations ahead ; I really left it all these to the D.O.C.T.O.R.S , of course, they will do there best. TAKE THE REIGNS GOOD DOCTORS. this is pure Ignorance.. We are NOW in a AGE OF Deeper Intelligence/Understanding. ( Even hear someone say, something like this, Maybe in time, there will be a CURE) I sure did, Mom, would whisper, all threw my earlier days, & I did wait & Hope, with very little New Break Threws. You, KrisLams, My Advise to you, at 71 , still Young in Spirit.. Work Together, Be your Own Advocate. Believe me, SPEAK UP ALWAYS, with kindness, repect , & appreciation . These Professional will Repect You because You came in with you EYES WIDE OPENED, eager to Let Them know, you been preparing & that You are Informed more than most. ITS a Strong Beginning, Better to become the most Important Part [ The KEY ] towards Your BETTERMENT. My Years where ever Changing, as Life does, but it changed me ,on How i wanted My Doctors to See Me, Hear Me, KNOW ME, its nice to be acknowlegded, In Safe Hands, with A Very Unsafe Diease.
