That sounds really tough, and it's completely understandable to feel concerned when your strength is declining without a clear treatment plan in place for everything going on.

Having both psoriasis and lupus is uncommon but it does happen. When both are present, treatment becomes more complex because some therapies that help one condition can actually make the other worse. Here are some important things to be aware of regarding managing both conditions:

- Phototherapy, which can help psoriasis, may trigger lupus flare-ups due to increased skin sensitivity to UV light
- Some medications that treat one condition can worsen the other, so careful coordination is essential
- Apremilast requires less monitoring than some other options, which is a plus, but your doctor needs the full picture of both diagnoses to manage your care safely

The worsening strength is something worth flagging urgently with your doctor. It's important they know about both conditions so they can weigh treatment options carefully and avoid anything that could make either condition worse. If you haven't already, seeing a rheumatologist (if you aren't already) alongside your dermatologist could really help, as they can coordinate care across both conditions. Don't wait on the strength issue — bring it up at your next appointment as a priority.
