Ive had psoriasis , PA and nail psoriasis for more years than I like to think about ! Ive always wanted to get my nails done
and have artificial nails done at a salon , BUT all that Ive read says that you should not get Artificial nails that can make nails pull away from nail bed. I was wondering anyone get artificial nails ?? My toe nails are lost cause nothing can help them but sure would be nice to have some of those pretty nails !
I know we aren't supposed to get them with our nails, but just curious if there are any rebels out there that have success with nail tips?
Does anyone have bad psoriatic nails and go to a nail salon? If so, how did you find one that wouldn't freak out when they looked at the nails? Any recommendations for any in Southern Maine?
Subsequent to an MI last year, and now on several heart medications for life; my nails (always slightly weak, inherited, but also diagnosed as with psoriatic nail pitting, have become much, worse, neither issue being helpful to a mechanical engineer, or a guitarist!

I recently discovered that what I originally thought was a fun gals nail infection in two fingers is in fact psoriasis. It's is disgusting looking and pretty painful.
Any ideas on how to treat it? I have been cutting the nails down and applying Dovonex ointment but no improvement...
I have had toenail psoriasis in the past which caused my nails to fall off or crumble away. My fingernails have ridges in them and I am seeing white hard crumbly skin appearing along the edges of my fingernails. It is quite painful to try to remove it. Is this another form of nail psoriasis?
I have had psoriasis under my toe nails and finer nails for such a long time I can’t remember. I have had psoriasis for 46 years but doctors here will not say I have psoriatic arthritis. I do occasionally get red eye. It was sever over 5 years ago but know it’s not as severe.
I have recently been diagnosed with nail psoriasis I'm currently using enstilar and dermovate it was going sp well , but now its starting to creep back , the doc says next time I see them , they are going to recommend injections as most avenues have been covered , is there anything else I could do to help with my nails , I am also taking Star flower oil capsules and vitamin d3 as I've been told it is good for your skin , any advice would be much appreciated
