I have read about people using sunbeds to help with psoriasis. Has anyone used this method and how long did it take you before it started to help.
I am 18, I have psoriasis most of my life ive done most treatments, i am about to undertake the puva treatment, i just want to know if this has worked for others and if the treatment will put me out of work.
Has anyone had the light therapy at the hospital? I have had 3 treatments and have already seen an improvement. How long did it take for your psoriasis to completely clear? Thanks guys :)
I have had the UVB treatment (Ultraviolet B) but psoriasis came back after a month.
I've been taking methotrexate for 7 months with noticable improvement but am taking the next step with stelara. Have you had any negative side effects? How long before improvements were seen?
I was offered light therapy treatments from my dermatologist. These treatments are very expensive, especially when you have many areas to treat. The manufacturer of the light that the dermatologist uses, offered me a discount of $40 per treatment for up to $400. total discount. The dermatologist staff called me and tried to give me a quote. The only treatment i've had success with was PUVA, but it's no longer given in New Zealand, so i'm being guinea pigged through all the other drugs out there!
Hi i am going under uv treatment.i don't know about band levels.at first day it was 5 seconds.i didn't have itching.after coming days the time will be increased by 45 seconds.so my itchy level also increased badly.only on my chest,stomach and back and not my hands and legs.i have itchy on the same day of uv. After the day i was ok.am using qv moisturiser. Plz help.i can't sleep.
So. Three weeks ago I finished a 30 session PUVA treatment. Most of my body, with the exception of my shins were clear, and even they were flat and non-flakey. 3 weeks on, having been told to stop all steroid ointments and use only Exorex (coal tar solution) and moisturiser, my skin is the worst it has been in years.
