Bio-Culture (Pro-Biotics)

Bio-Culture (Pro-Biotics)

I think I read an article on this site relating to the use of Bio-Cultures (Pro-Biotics) for Psoriasis
I decided to try these for myself and have been mildly surprised in the change to my patches. The larger scales have reduced drastically and now appearing as smaller flakes. The only other thing I use is a good moisturiser. I was on Enstilar, but as this is a steroid the doctor stopped after 6 weeks and things went right back to the start
I was actually two days from starting Photo Therapy… read more

Has Anyone Been On Methotrexate For A Long Time

Has Anyone Been On Methotrexate For A Long Time

I have been on Methotrexate for nearly two years, the drug has worked very well for my condition. I have psoriasis arthritis.

Has anyone been on this drug for a long time? I envisage being on it for ever and just curious to see whether it has had an impact on the body/immune system with the effects that the drug does to slow down/stop the inflammation/stiffness.

Why Aren't The Biologics Working For Me?

Why Aren't The Biologics Working For Me?

Hi everyone
I have had psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis since I was a teen. I have been on so many meds..none last long. They seem to work and then my body attacks them so they are unable to work
Enbrel- didn't do much
Humira- worked like a charm totally clear for almost a year. Then I had a reaction my whole body turned red and swelled up it took the doctors months to clear that mess up
Remicade- is made from rat pee...not a joke...it made my arms and legs feel like pins and needles...it… read more

Co-Pay Assistance Question.

Co-Pay Assistance Question.

My rheumatologist/immunologist has prescribed Simponi Aria for my PsA, but at $1,600 per vial co-pay I can't afford it. I've applied for J&J Patient Assistance but was declined and now I'm in the process of appeal. My insurance has approved their part, but the co-pay is unfordable. Anyone here has dealt with these issues? I've never been treated with any of this type of meds. No other course of treatment has been discussed so far and I'm about four/five months into this process without any… read more

Stelara

Stelara

I am almost two weeks past my second shot. My skin looks worse. Anyone else experience this? I'm really disheartened. I haven't talked to anyone that says Stelera is working well for them.

Anyone?? I need some encouragement. These shots are very expensive.

What Biologics Have Helped Your ARTHRITIS. Not Skin, Just Arthritis. And What Other Drugs Besides Biologics.

What Biologics Have Helped Your ARTHRITIS. Not Skin, Just Arthritis. And What Other Drugs Besides Biologics.

I have been to many Rhuemy's. I am aware of ALL the drugs out there. What I am looking for is PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with a particular drug that has helped your ARTHRITIS.
I would like to know what drugs help alleviate the arthritis only, not the skin. And not opioids for pain. Not interested in pain killers. But something that helps the SWELLING and limited mobility. THANK YOU for sharing your experience.
