Best Medication For PSA/Psoriasis?

Best Medication For PSA/Psoriasis?

I believe I only have a mild case, but I just wanted to know other peoples’ experiences with those out there. I’d prefer oral over topical.

As i stated previously my insurance (Medicare Advantage plan) approved me for Skyrizi but it would have cost me $3,000 a year for the 4 shot regimen. But if you meet certain income thresholds you can… read more

How Do You Get Relief From Psoriasis?

How Do You Get Relief From Psoriasis?

In detail how do you calm the pain. Per say in my legs even when I’m sitting still I can feel immense pain just from the blood running through them. Even when I take a shower the water running over them hurts as well. The pain is as if someone was burning my legs with a torch. Anyone out there have any suggestions on what to possibly do. I mean I put cortisone 10 specifically for Psoriasis other lotions Dr prescribed Clobetasol Propionate still without a lot of relief. Thanks for reading Jim

Skyrizi And My Immune System

If I'm on Skyrizi, am I considered immune compromised? If I get sick, do I have the immune system to fight it like other people do?

I am on Skyrizi, but unlike corticosteroids(Prednisone) which lowers overall immunity, it targets a certain area that causes psoriasis. My last blood work showed a slight below normal white blood… read more

Biologics And Infections

Biologics And Infections

I have been on Otezla for 9 months and it has worked well, scalp psoriasis is gone. My Medicare Part D insurer (and the other 7 in my area) will not cover Otezla, insist that I must use biologics. I cannot afford to pay for Otezla on my own, and do not qualify for help. However, the biologics warn about using them when subject to infections. I suffer from chronic inflammation of the esophagus, and frequently have dry cough, sinus drainage
Considering going without any drugs, going back to… read more

Starting Skyrizi

Starting Skyrizi

Has anyone taken Skyrizi? I am going to be starting it soon, Otezla didn’t seem to work for me. And does anyone have suggestions for itch? My fingers are breaking out, but this year has been extremely bad for flare ups for me, my scalp, fingers, elbows, knees,. I sure hope my dermatologist can soon find something that works. I’ve already tried about every cream, lotion, even liquid meds for my scalp. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you all!

Try a barrier cream from the pharmacy or drugstore to keep a barrier between the skin and the dry air to stop the itching. Baby oil is great to get plaque off the scalp, don't know if it will stop the… read more
