Biologics For Psoriasis

Biologics For Psoriasis

I have taken many biologics (7 in total). Currently I am clear using Skyrizi. My body responds well to biologics but not surprisingly they lose effectiveness over time for me. My question is; has anyone ever went back on a biologic that they had previously failed on and had success with it? I have asked multiple dermatologists and have asked other forums but nobody seems to have tried it. My motivation for the question is the fact that I have taken 7 of them and I am starting to run out of them… read more

Switch From Cosentyx To Taltz

Switch From Cosentyx To Taltz

Recently started on biologics after a couple of years trying various topical and systemic treatments.
Tried Cosentyx first. Made zero difference after initial 5 weekly starter doses.
So Dermatologist has now switched me to Taltz. Just took first starter dose this week.
I note that both drugs interact with the same interleukin (IL-17A).
Does anyone here have any knowledge or experience of switching from Cosentyx to Taltz? How likely is it that Taltz will do what Cosentyx didn't?

Has Anyone Been On Tremfya For Psoriatic Arthritis And Had A Recuurent Sinus Infection?

I have been on Tremfya for almost 2 years and have had a recurrent sinus infection since last October...literally a year ago. I have been on several antibiotics and it does NOT fully go away. As if that's not bad enough, I have had shingles probably 5 times since starting Tremfya, and the pain and stiffness in my lower back (from deterioration) has become much worse. My daughter helps me with my pants or shorts most days because I can't just bend to do it myself. It's as if my injections just… read more

Sounds like the medication has stopped working. You should check with your doctor.

DOES ANYONE HAVE TROUBLE WITH THEIR EYES

DOES ANYONE HAVE TROUBLE WITH THEIR EYES

I have blurring and watering, burning eyes, and am prone to eye infections. My eye specialist says that he thinks psoriasis is causing pressure on my eyes and the tear ducts are inflamed.
He says the eye its self looks like sand paper. I use two types of drops an antibiotic( tobramiacyn) and an allergy drop( florometholone ), along with an ointment ( tobrex) I have good days and real bad eye days mostly bad.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Taltz works great. I did it for 5 years. Then unfortunately it stopped working. But now I’m on Tremfya. It’s working. I’m pretty clear. I just wish these biologics worked on inverse ps.

Tremfya And Cold Sores (herpes)

Tremfya And Cold Sores (herpes)

Has anyone using Tremfya had cold sores (herpes simplex) triggered? On the medication guides it says it’s a side effect. I just started Tremfya and Sure enough a few days later I got the wrist cold sore ever! I am curious if others have experienced the is too. I asked my doctor and she said it’s not a side effect even though on all the medication guide it clearly states it is.

On the commercial, it says people taking Tremfya saw clearer skin in 16 months and extreme improvement after 5 years. Any idea why it takes so long?
