I Saw A Rheumatologist 2x Now. He Insists He Can Tell I Don't Have Psoriatic Arthritis Because I Can Squeeze His Fingers Hard.

I Saw A Rheumatologist 2x Now. He Insists He Can Tell I Don't Have Psoriatic Arthritis Because I Can Squeeze His Fingers Hard.

He does say that I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. I am concerned because he won't do any tests. He said that unless I have sausage fingers there's no need for testing. Three of my fingers have nodes on the end joint. I have tendon pain which he says is fibro... And knee, shoulder, elbow issues. Should I be concerned?? Get another opinion? I don't want to wait to get treatment until I'm decrepit. 😞

Will Swimming In A Chlorine Pool Irritate My Skin?

Will Swimming In A Chlorine Pool Irritate My Skin?

I'm hoping to start swimming to get gentle exercise. My skin is looking clearer and to be honest I don't really care what people think about my skin now, just want to get on with getting better which exercise and endorphins can only help with. I'm too tired and weak to go running or to the gym so was thinking swimming would be my best bet but I'm worried that chlorine will irritate or cause my skin to flare and I don't want that when my skin is improving. If anyone does swim I'd love to hear… read more

Anyone Else Struggling With The Dual Diagnosis Of Guttate Psoriasis/inverse Psoriasis/PSA And Rosacea/ocular Rosacea?

Anyone Else Struggling With The Dual Diagnosis Of Guttate Psoriasis/inverse Psoriasis/PSA And Rosacea/ocular Rosacea?

The PSA/guttate psoriasis/inverse psoriasis all but disappear when my ocular rosacea/rosacea(severe) flares and vice versa. I’m never without one or the other. The ocular rosacea is treated with steroid drops, minocycline and lubricating drops every hour then as resolving extends to every 6 hours. I have liver disease and cannot take the typical psoriasis drugs or and aspirin/NSAIDS so I use topicals for pain and topical steroids. Light therapy is risky for me since I’m also a malignant melanoma… read more
