I am in pain and very stiff all the time. Every morning it is a struggle physically and emotionally to get out of bed, but I still strive to live a full life. I have a family that depends on me every day and I really don't want to burden them with my pain. I want to do everything I can to help myself!!! But I am confused with all the literature--so I am reaching out to my friends here!!

I have tried paleo and aip, but have struggled to believe my diet makes any difference in my disease… read more

I follow a mineral balancing protocol which is diet and selected mineral supplements which vary according to the results of a twice hearly Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA). As regards the diet, It is animal protein with all meals and boiled/ steamed vegetables with all meals. I also avoid gluten and white carbs wherever possible. I try to go organic as much as possible both with vegetables and meat. I drink mostly San Pellegrino mineral water (the naturally sparkling one in glass bottles). I use Celtic Sea Salt with every meal.

In addition to the supplement protocol which is given by my practitioner I also take a slippery elm capsule with every meal.

I am also undertaking a chelation protocol to address my copper toxicity as evidenced by the HTMA tests and apparently caused by Mercury in my tissues. My practitioner believes it is the copper and heavy metals which was triggering my psoriasis.

Anyway, the long and the short of it is I have about 90% clearance with it continuing to gradually improve further and I believe I will ultimately reach 100%.

My view is that it isn't one of any of the above things that is clearing my psoriasis; rather it is the combination. of
- good diet mostly avoiding sugar and gluten and wheat
- regular use of slippery elm to help the gut
- chelation of the harmful heavy metals
- mineral balancing protocol which I believe is strengthening and normalising my immune response
- avoidance of medication and vaxccines

I can certainly see why many would be sceptical of diet to improve psoriasis but it will if it is the right one for you (we are all different). This is why I like the HTMA testing as providing the evidence for the right diet and supplementation for me.

No grains. They are very inflammatory and my pain and swelling are always worse when I eat them. Walking and weight bearing exercises. Building strong muscle to support the joints is critical with our disease.

I deal with both skin and arthritis issues. At one point I was 70% covered and felt like I was achy always walking through water due to the PsA. I found the Paleo AIP (auto immune protocol) Diet. Within 2 months skin was completely clear. It was a drastic change and the whole experience was intensely emotionally challenging but it worked. I've take no medication and the only time I use skin cream medicine is if I cheat the diet & the winter seems to be a bit difficult but things are 100% better. I hope you found relief

I've cut out all sugars and carbs from my diet. I've upped my - healthy - fats and have started to try and eat unprocessed foods and I've noticed my psoriasis on my scalp, face and neck have disappeared and my sling feels a lot healthier, as if there are more natural oils. It took a couple of weeks to get all the added sugar and carbs from my body out and not only is my skin clearer, my energy levels feel like they are higher. Not sure if they actually are or my confidence is better. Either way, what is there to lose. Look u the ketogenic diet. It's what I'm following. I've found the ruled.me website extremely helpful
