Life is too short. Don't let yourself be embarrassed. Do wear what you want. Don't let others rule what you do. Remember making you happy will help by decreasing stress. If people are giving you those looks, next time give out website address so they can become educated. Hope this will help, if not here is my favorite saying "people are stupid and you cannot cure stupidity".

Having suffered with severe psoriasis for 30 years I am amazed at the lack of understanding and ignorance from people and even some fellow sufferers. I talk ro people with obvious psoriasis and they dont know what it is!
It is now so much easier as effective treatments are available. I always stress to people that they need to see a dermatologist rather than the GP as only they can prescribe drugs like methotrexate and biologic treatment injections as well as puva treatment etc. Please don't suffer in silence, speak to your doctor and get a referral to the dermatologist if you have more than a couple of patches.
For stubborn patches psoriderm is great and works quickly (smelly coal tar so use it when you get home and shower in the morning)
hope my advice helps

When someone stares, SMILE. They are curious and concerned. You can't be offended every time someone looks at you the wrong way. It will make you crazy! Live life to the fullest. I've had extensive psoriasis. I remember as a five year old child staring at a neighbor who had psoriasis, then my Mother, and now me. It's been an issue for 29 years with psoriasis extensively covering my legs and sometimes other area. There are more options now, and finally the public are getting educated. Cheers for us! Hugs too!

I have had to live by the saying if you dont like what you see dont look. Especially in hot weather im not going to cover up and suffer more just because people dont like what they see. Sometimes it is hard when people stare or make a comment like they are going to catch it or something. But i think the world is alot more aware than it used to be about psoriasis.

Hi Guys I love swimming and I refuse psoriasis to stop me doing it. I'm not confident going but still do it. I have a system: always swim against other swimmers, leave the pool when they are on the other side of the pool. Then cover with the towel and off I go. Sounds silly but works. Trust me other swimmers don't care they are there to swim not to stare . Good luck ๐Ÿ‘
