Humira Losing Effectiveness

Humira Losing Effectiveness

I have been on Humira for about 8 months. At the start it worked well, but for the past 2 months I have had flare ups. Has anyone else had the problem of a biologic that has stopped working? If so, what do you think caused it?
I'm seeing my Derm this week. I hope I can get some answers.

I am currently on cosentyx. It's two injections once a month. I have been on it for about three months and I'm about 95% clear. I had a bad flare up about a week ago on me.scalp and ears that was very painful. It started to clear up after about four days. I've been taking different medications for over 30 years and cosentyx is the only one that has worked so far.

I've never been on Stelara so i am not sure if the blood test is as useful as it is for Humira. Are you still on Methotrexate? My doc says that it helps prevent immunity to the biologicals.

They test for immunity via blood test. Since it targets a specific protein, the antibodies can be determined easily.
