For Wine Drinkers........does Your PsA Worsen If You Keep Your Drinking To A Minimum (4-5 Glasses In A Week)? Worsening Pain? More Plaques?
I’m not a big drinker, but I do like wine. I cut back after my diagnosis because I read alcohol could exacerbate symptoms (In fact, I’ve barely drank at all the last 2 1/2 years). Wondering if symptoms will get worse if intake is kept to a minimum, and what should even be considered a minimum? Is anyone willing to share their experience in regards to wine (or alcohol in general) and PsA? Thanks so much!😁
I quit alcohol completely and after 45 days I have my psoriasis under control. I was only drinking two 16 Oz beers a day in my jacuzzi. I also started using baby detergent for clothes I also take epson salt baths and also switched to dove sensitive skin and Kenkoderm soap . I also use vitamin d and zinc and omega 3 fish pills. All this stuff was recommended by my holistic doctor who also has psoriasis . I wish you luck 💚💛❤️
Hi Ichyegg I don't smoke but I never would have thought it would make that much difference. Alcohol does set me off sometimes. Other times my flare ups seem to come out of the blue. Winter time is coming and you what that brings with it.
I love real ale. I really do. I tried cutting it out for 3 months a few years ago to see if it helped. I couldn't have been happier when I concluded it made no difference at all. What a night 😄
I drink hard seltzer water base. 5-6 ABV as a test! Still gathering data. Wine I cut out for I burn out after we started brewing 5 years ago! We decided to do wine! I’m over the it for messes up my tummy! I find raw cocktails are better! We love making new recipes and old 1950’s type.
I am a wine drinker also, and I have not seen any difference in pain. It helps me to relax to have a glass or two in the evening.🥂
