Do u have to continue to get the shots every other week forever or just for a while
The thing with biologics is that almost always at some point they will quit working for you. Then it's on to the next one. I have been on 6 different ones. Cosentyx has been the most consistent and long lasting for me, but everyone is different so there maybe some trail and error to find out what works for you. I also had great luck with skyrizi as well.
PsA is a chronic disease with no known cure at present. As such, the treatments will be lifelong. Unfortunately, the disease also tends to shift so what works today may not work next week and absolutely what works for me is no guarantee to work for you. Please let me stress that interrupting therapy frequently ensures that the therapy will not work as well when you restart it and possibly not at all if the interruption is long enough. I've had two and the tolerance is shorter each time for me.
Try mg217. Cream it’s amazing. Target an Amazon sells it
I am hoping it works well forever! Humira is easy to do, does not hurt at all and the company has great resources to help it be affordable or free.
nothing else has helped with so much as this does so far( its only been 2 months.
Idk which shot you are taking but I can share my experience. I can tell you that after taking humira every other week for 1 year I cleared all except tiny patches on elbows and knees. It was great.
Then I lost my insurance and flared worse than ever before. I’ve been off humira for a year now and it is the worst it has ever been. I’m trying to get back on it but like, first they lost my blood results, then they had to postpone my appointment due to Covid, long story short I don’t see the dermatologist again until August.
I would stay on the biologics if I were you!
