my husband has COPD and needs a hernia surgery. They can't do it until he blows 250 on the peak flow meter. He was blowing 200, but he's used the AirPhysio device and is finally up to 250 and back in the queue for surgery!
Here is a great article I found on mucus plugs in COPD patients, this AirPhysio devices removes those plugs. My own peak flow went up 27% after about a month of using it twice a day. Just don't cough after the first time you blow, try to suppress the cough, blow again and then cough. There were cheaper brands on Amazon, I think they all work in the same way.

I definitely got the chest x-ray and all was good. I use a peak-flow meter to check my lungs and I've gone from blowing 430 to 550! That's almost like an athlete! I use a device called AirPhysio which might help you. It removed mucus plugs that are part of having COPD. https://www.airphysio.com/
I guess there was lung involvement in my inflammation, because I'm so much better now from the steroids. I come off them soon and I hope the Adalimumab has kicked in by the time I stop

I currently do light treatments for my psoriasis, and they keep it very well managed. I do have psoriatic arthritis and started on Remicade and it almost killed me. I ended up in the ER with breathing problems. I am now four months past having one infusion and I’m still having issues with breathing. Biologics are deadly and I will not take another one. My rheumatologist knew that I had COPD, and according to the maker of Remicade should have taken a chest x-ray prior to starting me on the biologic.. If my doctor would’ve taken a chest x-ray prior to giving me the Remicade, they may have known it was some thing I should not have. I have COPD but the Rheumatologist said it was not cost-effective. So apparently my life isn’t cost-effective either. I have now fired that Rheumatologist and switch to a new one who believes in natural things if it all possible.
I now currently use an infrared sauna. It’s amazing no side effects I also take sea moss, which is also amazing for all kinds of ailments .
