Living in a rural town resources are limited. If I were living in my home state I would be at an Ochsner Facility (Tenet). My Medicaid is not portable and living on limited income.

Orthopedic can't do anything for arthritis. I say rheumatologist

Honestly, I'd start with the rheumatologist. They're going to run all of the tests, and create a plan, and also provide your long term care. The orthopedic doctor will most likely refer to a rheumatologist, if you have PsA, or are suspect of it, in my experience of working at a clinic. I see the Ortho for my joints when I'm having issues possibly needing surgery. I completely understand the lower income aspect and Medicaid. Sending you love and hugs! πŸ€—πŸ˜Šβ€οΈ

I go to a pain management for just what it says. They take my Insurance. I also see a rheumatologist and he provides the biologics and psa related meds but they don't take my insurance so I have to go to pm doctor for injections and epidurals

Do you have Ms medicaid ? There are plenty of Drs I could recommend for our area because I have been to plenty...Is it worth it to sometimes drive 45 min to an hr for good, knowledgeable treatment ? Yes ! for your health it is....In a lot of rural areas there are not "specialists" and I know that....For your area, McComb or (preferably) Hattiesburg Ms because this is where you will get the most knowledgeable and experienced care...Post to me and let me know what area of health you need a specialist for....Heart, Lung, Gastric, Dermatology, ENT, Kidney, Neurology or Rheumatologist..
I know them all because I was "investigated" for about 6 yrs until they found what was wrong.... Needless to say, I had a lot wrong and FINALLY got good care πŸ‘
