Only one source of diagnosis has worked for me: a well-grounded rheumatologist. Mine diagnosed my PsA by looking at my fingernails. Good luck!

Another symptom of psoriatic arthritis is pitted fingernail. They might also have ridges. Or both.

My orthopedic and physiatrist were the first two physicians who had suspicions that I had either rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis. Both referred me to a rheumatologist. Rheumatologist diagnosed, psoriatic arthritis and thoroughly explained all my symptoms to me since I had never heard of psoriatic arthritis at the time. Using a biologic has been the best thing for me.

PSAis a pain beyond anyone's imagination your toes and fingers swell up the joint pain is so sensitive that a sheet touching it or even wearing socks make the tips of your toes so sore almost as if you have a bandage too tight and trying to force that pain out the top of your toes....the pain also comes from shoulder cracking down to the elbow.Worse than hitting your funny bone and from the elbow to the hands and numbing your fingers and tingles as well.
