Only one source of diagnosis has worked for me: a well-grounded rheumatologist. Mine diagnosed my PsA by looking at my fingernails. Good luck!

Another symptom of psoriatic arthritis is pitted fingernail. They might also have ridges. Or both.

My orthopedic and physiatrist were the first two physicians who had suspicions that I had either rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis. Both referred me to a rheumatologist. Rheumatologist diagnosed, psoriatic arthritis and thoroughly explained all my symptoms to me since I had never heard of psoriatic arthritis at the time. Using a biologic has been the best thing for me.

One thing I do know, is you will know or should realize after the skin starts to Show plaques and if after that, your JOINTS begin to hurt with any movement ,when , a Normal movement starts to be painful. My friend, I believe you Have It; PsA [Psoriasis Arthritis) there is no other pain or physical changes like what is ahead...it is like a unexpected, Slap in your FACE... i had Ps very early on in life, very young but. Back then, no one knew, It was Hidden As much as Possible. Whispered in the back rooms. But the individual who see these, changes years after the skin Psoriasis, you will know and now you have a totally different challenge ahead. My was Not caught early, therefore It has been for me long difficult 🙃 time of it. If any one Sees these Changes, do not wait, do not play around with this. It will not just disappear. But it can be managed so much better ,if investigated ASAP. Earliest awareness, can change Everything, begin Action and hopefully a Easier time in your Future
