It’s not dangerous to change to something new. It’s dangerous not to pay attention to the signs your body is giving that the drug you’re taking is no longer effective. To be clear- The Med hasn’t stopped working- your body has developed a resistance or tolerance to it. Think about it- 15 years is more than a sufficient amount of time for your body to develop an immunity to it. My experience was much the same as yours and I had to move up a step in treatments. I now take Skyrizi & couldn’t be more pleased and at ease with its results. Having our bodies develop an immunity to a drug we’ve used for 15 years is nothing compared to the flares we would likely encounter if we had nothing else available to try in its absence. Do yourself a favor & don’t wait to make the switch. Thanks to America, The time will come (your mid 60’s) when you will no longer be eligible to use, access or afford any biologic drug no matter how great it works for you or the hell you went thru trying multitudes of drugs and treatments before finding what worked. The future isn’t good so get what works & live the best you can NOW. My intent is not to sound grim- I’m being real & honest. Don’t wait. Switch before you can’t and enjoy the life you’ve got while you’re still able to access these types of drugs.
Hope this info helps. Good luck!

What medication are you speaking about?
Is it a psoriasis biologic?
I can tell you my personal experience after Humira. I’d like to know which medication you’re referring to first as my experience may not be applicable to your question.

Weigh the options of it. If the medication is helping, causing side effects, etc. But most importantly do your research and talk with your primary doctor and dermatologist for their medical opinion.
