I am only on Methotrexate each week, but I know that with mom and my brother both diabetics I am on my way. I am eat too much bread and the left over goodies from my party. The crows are enjoying some of those cookies that were flops.

I’m not sure if it can cause diabetes, but I think people with psoriasis and PsA are at increased risk of metabolic syndrome and diabetes in general. I eat pretty healthy (whole grains, beans, fatty fish, lots of veggies) and exercise daily, and my glucose is still ob the higher side (not enough for medication as of now) and I have PCOS (caused by insulin resistance). I have a humidifier going 24/7 once the heat goes on-65degrees in the common areas upstairs and my bedroom 58 degrees with the window open. Only my scalp itches. I open the kitchen door if outside goes above 45. Cats like to look out anyway. We have had a wet warm spring and summer and into the fall. I want to set up a smaller machine in the master too. Noise is great to sleep by, too.

How have you been doing? I saw my regular physician today & he was not to alarmed with my bloodwork numbers, but will retest next month to see where they are next time. I did find out that my Psoriasis’s cause is because of the dry area I live in. Last August I went on a trip back East went as far as NYC & my Psoriasis’s had gone away, when I got back home it started coming back again.
