Have you tried Dove shampoo and conditioner for Itcy scalp? It works for me and it softens the scalp.

Haven't tried the Vicks, but am open to it!

Does the vicks burn much? Not that id mind that. Id rather feel the burn for a few seconds than the constant itch.
