A major game changer for me is no beer and very little alcohol. Psoriasis started for me in my early 20s when I started drinking beer. Since then, I have found Neutrogena T-Gel (Coal Tar, max strength) and DHS (tar and zinc) to be the only helpful shampoos; and I very much recommend trying to only washing with shampoo 2-3x a week max. I condition (preferably with unscented products) all other times you bath. My dermatologist also started having me use H&S Royal Oils Scalp Cream, which is coconut oil based. I haven't used it long enough to know how well it does. I did just started Skyrizi though (in May 2024), and my moderate/severe psoriasis on my scalp, face, elbows, and knees has never looked so good after only 2 months from the first dose! (And this is coming from someone who hates marketing and ads, so sorry for the name dropping.)
