Yes. My GP sent me to an old Chinese specialist who diagnosed me within 10 minutes. He said he sees it a lot, in various forms and had been a specialist for over 50 years. Guess he knew his stuff.

Early 1980’s did a biopsy To rule out anything nefarious , he was sure it was psoriasis . Gave me coal tar ointment no other information . The receptionist wouldn’t touch my hand or money when I was making my co pay. No real help for many years!
I need to edit to the present time! My dermatologist is a PaC, she has me on Tremfya, and a steroid cream for those tough to heal plaques. She went to bat for me with the drug company and I qualified for patient assistance . The unfortunate part is I have had this since to 1980's a lot of damage occurs over the years. I will be having reverse shoulder replacement in September so no Tremfya til after that's healed. I might talk to my Rheumatologist to see what can be done to ease some symptoms of PsA that I'am already feeling. We have a pool with nice cool water that soothes my aches and pains but is hard on my skin if I'am not careful. Such is life! At least I have some tools in my tool box! Happy July 4th, good juju!

My regular GP finally referred me to a specialist after 5 years of telling me it was seberitic (spelling?) dermatitis. The specialist saw me for 5 minutes. Ordered a shot. Told me i could never have another shot. Handed me a brochure and left. The shot cleared my skin in a week. I was clear for a few weeks and then it came back. Never went to him again.

I was fortunate to have a skilled (experienced) Dr in that who looked at my fingers then and said classic case of PSA. That was quite a while ago, he unfortunately is likely retired now. He was right, my rheumatologist later verified it
