Hi TJ! For me at home when my hands and/or wrists are flaring I use the compression gloves I got on Amazon. If they’re really bad I’ll use braces that limit use of my wrists & my hands. I still have use of my fingers and upper hands. When my back is in the fritz I use my cane. It really helps & it helps my knees, too. I hope you find what works for you.

Cold therapy options:

These methods help because heat loosens muscles around joints and improves flexibility, while cold reduces inflammation and swelling. For food preparation during difficult days:
- Lightweight, comfortable cooking tools that don't strain hands/wrists
- Pre-chopped ingredients stored in freezer
- Meal prep containers for batch cooking
- Comfortable seating while preparing food

These items help conserve energy and prevent additional joint strain when preparing meals during flares.

Compression gloves do work as well as hand braces I use one that specifically for my thumb but covers my entire hand. Fingers are available to use. With compression gloves make sure you get the right size, measure your hand before ordering. I hope you are feeling better and things settle down soon. I usually wear my compression gloves at night while I’m sleeping.

CindyDavis 3... I also use compression gloves from Amazon. They are really good too. Lucky I bought 2 pairs because now I can only find one pair.
