I can only suggest that you hint to the kids you're hungry or try asking to get you things you need. Tell them instead of a birthday gift or holiday present you'd like that? It's important to eat to keep up muscle mass with protein and it's important to eat so your organs aren't affected otherwise. You can't live off your own body for too long. You really shouldn't. Express to your kids that you don't care for the food they serve there.
My mother is an assisted care because she has a really bad memory now and could fall, they often serve stuff she's not fond of. Harder for her to eat at this time I think with her teeth and all? We rotate seeing her and we always bring her treats we know she eats or sometimes a meal in a visit. You need to speak up about what you don't like in that to your kids.
Thank you, I’m on a cancellation list but so far nothing has turned up and it’s only August 2025. 🤨
Kim, I should be seeing our Optometrist anytime soon.
I’m 78yo & have had psoriasis since 1967. My Uncle had it and my mother had
it on her scalp but never knew it. I live in a nursing facility, due to
other medical issues. The food here is not the best and I quit eating for a
few years. I’m 5’ tall and when I got to 86 lbs my adult children became
worried and convinced me to start eating. I’m eating but there isn’t a lot
of funds to make decent meals. Medically, they take very good care of me.
It’s the food I have issues with. Suggestions?
I knew the answer you gave to my question. Have an appointment with Derm but they couldn’t get me in until Jan 22, 2026! Any suggestions?
