I agree to avoid SLS, I found out it's a detergent. They have that in toothpaste also. I got a toothpaste without SLS made by Colgate. It actually helped reduce gum irritation. My gums would bleed a little when I brush even lightly and now I don't see that using that. Detergent ingredients have to be harsh on the skin or tissues so I would avoid it.
My dermatologist recommended Nizoral shampoo. I got the one for dandruff and it does help. You can buy Scalpicin OTC which is a cortisone liquid.
