@A MyPsoriasisTeam Member. What do you mean that it paralyzed you? Nothing bad has happened yet. I just hope it helps in the long run. What biologic are you using now?

Taltz paralysed me, massive allergic reaction. I was bedridden for three months

I have been Taltz close to 10 years now. After trying three or four other biologics. Taltz has pretty much eliminated my psoriasis. I still have some on the scalp but not near to the extent as before. I have noticed that it is not working as well on my PSA as it did for the first several years, but the psoriasis is still very well under control

I started on Talz. I had both a primary and a secondary allergic reaction to it.
I am now on Skyrizi.

Have you experienced good results with Taltz for your psoriasis?

Yes, many people have reported excellent results with Taltz (ixekizumab). Some members have shared they achieved close to complete skin clearance after switching to this medication.

One MyPsoriasisTeam member mentioned being "90 percent psoriasis-free for the past six years" after using Taltz. Another member achieved significant clearance after starting the medication in 2021.

What to know about Taltz:

- It's an IL-17A inhibitor that works differently than some older psoriasis medications
- The dosing typically involves loading doses every two weeks initially, then settles into a once-every-four-weeks schedule
- It now comes in a citrate-free formulation that may reduce injection site pain

Important considerations:

Like other biologics, Taltz can increase infection risk since it affects your immune system. Some people have experienced increased infections while on this treatment.

One member noted that while Taltz cleared most of their psoriasis, their genital area didn't respond as well and required additional steroid ointments.

Have you discussed Taltz with your dermatologist as a treatment option?
