Morning sun before 10 am has almost no UV rays. Best time to be out.

Kathi4, have you cut out seed oils from your food? It has the added benefit of not burning in the sun and my hair color came back after being white on one side. Seed oils can stay in tissue for a very long time.

Liposomal vitamin D with vitamin K absorbs through mouth tissue and goes to work immediately. I use an organic one available on amazon. Also you can get some sun on your skin. Sunshine turns cholesterol into vitamin D. 20 minutes will do wonders. Sit in the sun with bare feet in the grass (untreated) and it will lessen pain and swelling.

Feeling constantly tired with psoriatic arthritis and low vitamin D is really tough — and you're not alone in this. A vitamin D level of 13 is indeed quite low, and getting it back up can make a real difference.

With psoriatic arthritis, fatigue is often driven by inflammation, so addressing both the vitamin deficiency and inflammation together is key. Here are some options worth discussing with your doctor:

- Vitamin D3 supplements — tablets are the most common and well-researched form. Dosage needs to be guided by your doctor based on your blood levels
- B vitamins — can also help with energy levels alongside vitamin D
- Omega-3 fish oil — some people with psoriasis report it helps with severe fatigue and has anti-inflammatory properties
- Multivitamins — a general top-up while you work on specific deficiencies One MyPsoriasisTeam member shared: *"My internist told me to increase my vitamin D3. My blood work shows it is working and helping. For some people, it can be helpful under a doctor's care."*

It's really important to get your doctor to recommend the right dose for your specific level — too much vitamin D can actually cause problems. They may also check for other deficiencies like iron, which can also cause fatigue in people with psoriasis.

Food sources of vitamin D are also worth adding in — fatty fish like salmon, trout, and mackerel are among the best natural sources.
