It's completely valid to feel hurt — living with psoriasis means dealing with not just the physical symptoms, but also the thoughtless comments from people who simply don't know better. You are definitely not alone in this.

I’m so sorry to hear that you are experiencing the pain and mental issues. I have psoriatic arthritis and I also have bi-polar (rapid cycling) which I was told it triggers PsA and PsA can trigger bi-polar. Also PTSD, general anxiety disorder, agoraphobia w/ panic attacks, and prolonged grief disorder. So I know first hand how difficult it can be to do anything at all sometimes when you hurt physically and mentally. My heart goes out to you. 💪🏼❤️
Yes I really do try but I can do a lot better. I have psoriatic arthritis and just really don’t feel well sometimes mentally and physically. I have to cancel a lot of things with friends and family. Thanks for your advice
Yes people's curiosity sometimes can come across as ignorance. But you always got to remind yourself that's on them not on you. Some people just want to focus on things I guess. Because I deal with more than one autoimmune condition right now I got a lanyard with a little tag on it that says I have an invisible disability please be patient. Let them look at that I feel. If it's invisible to not detect right away then they shouldn't be asking any about it. I think that's for public places in the winter when my condition flares up more. I may walk slower I may be more uncomfortable so I'm scratching if I itch when I shouldn't but I can't avoid it. Etc. If someone's paying that close of attention they got nothing better to do. If they don't look away just look the other way, that's their issue.
I hope you will learn to see that it should go in one ear and out the other.. everybody's different and they should be aware of that.
My mom is in memory care at a facility she's in a wheelchair and most of the older people have wheelchairs also so it's like oh well. But my mom makes sure to smile or wave at people and when she does people come up and comment to me that your mom is so nice she's so sweet. Yes my mom is but they can see that. Try to kill them with kindness by that I mean put on a happy face and look the other way if people are saying things you can just act like you don't hear them. Maybe they'll think you'll have a hearing loss but let them think what they want. It's best not to entertain ignorance ever I feel now. Don't give them the opportunity.
