Has anyone experienced a drop in their iron levels while taking methotrexate A friends has dropped through the floor even after having a blood transfusion before continuing

I've been on Methotrexate for over 5 years and it's never affected my iron levels. I've always taken a multivitamin though so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I am already anemic but no it didn't get worse on the methotrexate. But that medication gave both me and my older sister side effects.

I stopped methotrexate because red bloods cells were fewer but inflated so not enough oxygen being transported and moved on to fumaderm and now humira,

I take extra folic acid 6 days a week. The only day I don't take it, is the day I take my injection of the methotrexate

She had stopped meds and had regular blood test and so far it is up to 9 from 4 so looking good and she is feeling much better
