Members shared a variety of tips for managing scalp psoriasis, with several recommending coal tar shampoos like Tarsum or Nizoral as effective options that lather well and reduce itching without a strong smell. Natural remedies came up often, including olive oil, coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, and essential oils like lavender and eucalyptus mixed with coconut oil for inflammation relief. A recurring theme was the importance of avoiding scratching, staying hydrated, watching diet, and being patient since healing is a slow process.

Tarsum Shampoo! It’s the best of the coal tar shampoo’s out there, as far as I’m concerned. I also used it on my skin and it really did help. It doesn’t smell nasty and it lathers really nice too.

I swear by this shampoo, it helped my scalp and my skin plaques!! It doesn’t stink like the other coal/tar shampoos, and it lathers like a normal shampoo and it can be used on color treated hair as well.

Hello Julie I would suggest you not to use any perfumed shampoo and wash yr hairs ws neither too cold or hot water and you can put some drops of coconut oil to keep the scalp cool. It's only a suggestion my dr Julie... Take care.. There are certain foods that you shd avoid not to aggravate the scalp pblm... Goodnight☺️

Oils hav their benefits in their own ways for e. G lavender oil for inflammation I get neck pain and I massage this oil mixed with coconut oil and it works. I use EU calyptus oil mixed with coconut oil and I massage my heel everyday to get a better blood circulation and to get relief from spur pain... And i used olive oil on my flares.. Sesame oil
.... Castor oil but must know how to use and for wat purpose.... All essential oils hav their own benefits. U get better sleep if u massage a little lavender oil in yr hand or wrist or in yr feet and it works.. Don't try it if you hav any doubt. Love u friends here. Take care😊
