I had debilitating joint pain a year back and was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. Was very skeptical about immunosuppressants so tried homeopathy first. After which the pain got so much better. Now, after 8-10 months, my joint pain is resurfacing but is quite mild which I am able to ignore. So, is there anyone else who’s not on medication and has mild arthritis like symptoms. I always associated psoriatic arthritis pain with mind numbing pain.
I was actually looking for an advice like this. You are absolutely correct on the active PSA part, so I am thinking I shouldn't be taking chances on that. I am seeing a doctor tomorrow to assess my joints, and probably will have to start medications if they advise it.
I believe PsA can go up and down, amd varies in severity between people and over time.
However, I would counsel you to monitor for damage to your joints, back, organs ect. The pain is a symptom, and means the PsA is active, and can affect your whole body, even your brain which I recently learned.
Whatever helps you to live your life with less pain is wonderful, but I do suggest actively monitoring for damage. As scary as the drugs are, back and joint surgery and loss of mobility and independence are not good options either.
Good luck!
Hi, I am taking multivitamin tables and vitamin D3. I am feeling less pain now.
Thank you so much on the app recommendation. It sounds very helpful. I have been maintaining a pain and symptoms diary all along.
All that you have mentioned, is exactly what made me skeptical about going ahead with the traditional medicines in the first place. But this fear of underlying damage that I might not be aware of is getting the better of me. Otherwise I thought I was managing fine.
Thank you so much. Will definitely look into these.
