I am looking for feedback as I am on the fence with starting Otezla. I have joined a facebook group and it seems I am just seeing all of the people with the bad side effects. I have tried all the creams, ointments, light therapy, you name it. Nothing works on my scalp anymore and it is so itchy and flaky. HELP! Does anyone have a positive experience with Otezla?

I had really bad dandruff...or so I thought.. it was Psoriasis - Clobetasol was what I used first but then got diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis and started on Otezla - it worked great...I haven't had any issues while on it...it stopped working for the PSA so I had to switch to a Biologic but my scalp cleared up very quickly and only had a mild stomach upset for about a week or so. It was great for me for almost 3 years. Good Luck!

Otezla (apremilast) has shown positive results for treating scalp psoriasis. According to the phase 3 ADVANCE trial:

- Effectiveness: People who took Otezla were five times more likely to have less severe disease after four months compared to those who took a placebo.
- Symptom Improvement: Users experienced smaller areas of skin affected by psoriasis plaques and less itching.
- Scalp Psoriasis: Those on Otezla were less likely to have an affected scalp.

These findings suggest that Otezla can be an effective treatment option for scalp psoriasis.
