Started Humira and it has been about 5 weeks and some of the psoriasis on my legs and feet clear up a little but when I get close to my injection time it seems that the psoriasis and the itching start coming back and gets worse. I have to take prednisone and I really don't want to be on that. Is there a better injection?

It's common for symptoms to fluctuate when taking biologics like Humira, especially in the early weeks of treatment. The return of symptoms near injection time suggests you may need to discuss adjusting your treatment plan with your dermatologist. They might consider:

• Adjusting your Humira dosing schedule
• Switching to a different biologic medication
• Adding complementary treatments Recent research shows that about 73.5% of people stay on Humira biosimilars after one year, but some do need to switch treatments due to lack of effectiveness (13.3%). If you're concerned about relying on prednisone, work with your dermatologist to explore other biologic options. There are several available that might work better for your specific case.

Remember that finding the right treatment can take time and may require trying different medications before finding what works best for you.
