I have was dx'd about 6 years ago with PsA and have gradually been progressing...now on my second biologic (Orencia) and Otezla...still playing the waiting game to see the effectiveness of this combo--also on Methotrexate p.o. weekly with Folic Acid. Additional involvement includes bilateral wrists and thumbs, neck and, of course, lower back. Has anyone else experienced the continued knee pain after having TKR?

Many MyPsoriasisTeam members have shared similar experiences with ongoing knee pain. One member reported that their knees and legs would lock up, while others have described their knees feeling hot to the touch with pain spreading behind the knees. The stiffness can be particularly challenging, with some members describing walking "like a robot" due to limited range of motion. There are several treatment options that may help manage ongoing knee pain:

• NSAIDs (both over-the-counter and prescription) to reduce joint pain and inflammation
• Physical therapy to help maintain mobility and learn therapeutic exercises
• Occupational therapy to find alternative ways to perform daily activities
• Steroid injections directly into the joint for quick inflammation relief

If over-the-counter pain treatments aren't providing enough relief, it's important to discuss this with your healthcare provider, as they can adjust your treatment plan or prescribe additional medications to help manage your symptoms.
