Hi Donna525. Sleep is important to recuperate & repair. Nothing wrong with sleeping. What time do U go to bed at night time?
I think fatigue is a symptom for a lot of medical issues because it just wears the body down trying to deal with it or fight it. That is very common it seems. If we're not able to take a nap right away because some people still have to work or have busy schedules otherwise, try to take power naps or a little break when able. It is tough to deal with that when it is draining a person's body. Many autoimmune conditions can do that sadly as a part of what happens. I think chronic fatigue syndrome is a big one, of course don't know causes of a lot of this. We just have to take it to the best of our ability with managing it. Rest when we're able or nap to keep so-called recharging ourselves.
We see naturally a lot of babies because they're developing need to sleep more, cats seem to sleep a lot, and elderly people nap more. They know their needs.
Thank you Michelle!
It is for me! I have RA, PsA, & Psoriasis. The fatigue for me is sometimes worse than the pain. I also get insomnia which doesn't help.
Is fatigue and excessive sleepiness a common symptom of psoriatic arthritis?
Yes, fatigue is definitely a major symptom for many people with psoriatic arthritis. About 30 to 40 percent of people with PsA experience this overwhelming exhaustion that doesn't improve with rest.
