I'm on Skyizi, and it has helped a lot. Went through several different orals & biologics before finding Skyrizi.

I tried Taltz and I had depression set in and thoughts of un aliving. I have never had depression or thoughts such as that before in my life. It was very scary. It started on a Thursday afterwork and finally on Monday I got ahold of my Derm. I was then quickly put on another form of shot. Please remember that we all not the same where some eds will work wonderfully for others.

I tried the Skyrizi for the 3 initial doses and needed a surgery so had to quit. I really don't know about it. I got a side effect (palmoplantar psoriasis) from another biologic. So, I am scared of them. Using VTAMA topical and colbostbol steroids for the hands and feet. It is too strong to use on other body parts, but skin on hands and feet is tougher. I did like the dosing intervals for Skyrizi and the injection πŸ’‰ is easy. Best of luck in your journey.

Yes, many people have made the switch from topicals to biologics like Skyrizi, and the results can be pretty remarkable. One MyPsoriasisTeam member shared that after starting a biologic, they were completely clear after just the first dose β€” though they later experienced a partial return of plaques on their back, leading their dermatologist to recommend switching to a different biologic.

The broader picture is encouraging though. Studies show that:

- 25–45% of people achieve complete skin clearance with biologics
- Newer biologics can help up to 85–90% of people see significant improvement
- Most people report fewer symptoms and a better quality of life, even if full clearance isn't reached As for side effects, they vary from person to person. Reported side effects from biologics including Skyrizi can include:

- Injection-site reactions (redness, swelling, heat)
- Sinus issues and headaches
- Increased risk of infections
- Serious allergic reactions (less common) such as swelling, hives, or breathing difficulties

It's worth noting that finding the right biologic can take some trial and error β€” there's no test to predict which one will work best for you. Always talk openly with your dermatologist about any side effects you experience, as switching medications is always an option.
