My husbands bottom of his legs look like this. 2012 started with moderate plaque psoriasis. Through the years skin has thinned and now look red/bruised, in the summer they are somewhat lighter (no hair on his legs anymore). Past 3 months psoriasis has become severe, leg calves swell, painful, ulcers. Changed medication now just playing the waiting game to see if it works.
We have documented food diet, nothing is consistent with causing flare ups. Don’t drink alcohol or smoke, about 15lbs overweight, when able walk and active outside. Tested for diabetes and was negative. Had blood pressure done on legs to rule out any blockages.
Just keep your leg raised and ice hot spots to help with inflammation.
Hmm. I have not heard of that, but who knows there are lots of odd things with this disease. Are you sure it is from psoriasis. I would contact your doctor, to rule out any other issues. Good luck.
I get bruises like that in the last picture. I really never no how I get them. I was also diagnosed with lipedema in my legs. "Fat legs", but the difference is you can do all the sport you want but it never really goes away. You loose weight everywhere else. Size S or M on top and size 20 or larger on bottom. I have to buy parts so lange to fit over my calfs and thighs and in my waist band I can fit two pillows. A side effect is your legs are painful at times and such random bruises is common and take months to go away. I just ignore the bruises. I thought I was overly clutsy.
these are bruises from Feb 2023 and the steroids brought back all the bruising in October 2023! That's 8 months later!
yes, you can sort of see the bruising in the photo on the right. If anyone commenting here is on steroids like prednisolone, that does bring back old bruises
